Sarah
Butterfly Room
Hello! I’m Sarah! I joined the Warm World staff in August 2022 as the Lead Teacher in the Butterfly room. I was attracted to Warm World because it is a Christian childcare center. My faith is really important to me, and I love to share it with the kids.
I am a native Minnesota and grew up in Lindstrom, MN. I started babysitting at the age of 12. I would watch my little sister a lot and I babysat for families that I knew from church. I had my first summer nanny job at age 15 and then I nannied every summer throughout high school. I also helped with Vacation Bible School at church every summer while I was in middle school and high school.
My favorite moment as a childcare provider was one summer when my little sister and I nannied my cousin’s daughters. It was so great to spend time with them – I don’t think my relationships with them would be as strong today if it wasn’t for that experience.
Outside of work, I love all things outdoors! I was married in 2021 and my husband and I hike and camp a lot. I also really like kayaking. Along with my passion for kids, I have a strong passion for animals. My husband and I have a rescue cat named Ruthie. Growing up, I was involved in 4-H. And during college, I had a service dog training internship. In fact, I received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls in 2018. Prior to working at Warm World, I worked at a pet resort and two vet clinics doing various positions before deciding to re-focus my career on my childcare passion.
